Edward J. Amato is a retired Detective Sergeant from the New York City Police Department and a graduate of John Jay College of Criminal Justice. During his 20-year police career held various assignments of an investigative nature.  He supervised a squad of 20 detectives that conducted over 25,000 investigations in the New York City Times Square area. Prior to that assignment, he supervised a surveillance unit in Times Square that conducted surveillance on garment center criminals. Amato Investigative Service was established in 1989 and has been under the direction of Edward Amato from inception.
